Kopa publishes online educational and research articles about Latvian folk-songs and barley, a cereal crop plant often mentioned in the folk songs.

Kopa primarily publishes articles that provide novel insights and have educational value, but articles with more academic, economic, political or technologically entertaining twist are also considered.
What's in the name "kopa"?
The word "kopa" translates as "a set". The following is the definition used in discrete mathematics:

"A set is a gathering together into a whole of definite, distinct objects of our perception or our thought — which are called elements of the set."

Our guidelines.
The principles underlying Kopa publication policy include two notations from the definition of the mathematical set:

➀ Elements of the set are distinct, meaning unique, so are the contents of publications by Kopa are non-redundant, no rearrangements, changed naming conventions, contents Exceptions are translations to a different language.

➁ The name of the set is meaningless, contents is all that matters. That's why publications by Kopa Publishers are anonymous, i.e. they don't disclose names, affiliations and funding sources of the authors.
